6 months waiting

Today marks us waiting for 6 months. We are currently #15.
This day was filled with love for ZOE MOON. It just so happened that about 8 months ago I was asked to speak at our MOPS group today. Of all days it could have been it was today, our 6 month DTE day. I spoke on how my adoption has changed and challenged me in lots of ways. I spoke on investing in the lives of other people, writing a good story and have great friends involved in your life.
So today, I walk into the Vineyard to realize that everyone was wearing their ZOE MOON  shirt today! One of our amazing friends declared it ZOE MOON day and what a great way to show our family love! It was great seeing all of the staff with their shirts on and just knowing how they are 100% on this journey with us. That was only the start of my day. As I went upstairs I started to realize some of the MOPS moms and kids were in their shirts as well. Another amazing friend gathered all the moms together to wear their shirts as well. It was such a heart softening moment looking around the room and seeing love they have for ZOE and they just as excited to be on the journey with us.
As if that wasn’t enough, after I spoke at MOPS, the table that I sit at presented me with a gift. This was not just any gift. I pulled it out of the bag and saw that it was a box decorated in the pattern of ZOE’S room. It was so adorable. Then inside of the box was hand written notes to ZOE from all of my friends. It was so sweet. I knew that I could not begin to read those sweet letters there, so as soon as Brian got home we opened them. The words were so sweet and loving. I love how people love her and long for her as we do. I can not wait for the day that we can read those letters to her, so she can see how she was loved before we even knew her.

So, how can the day get better, right? Well, I went to go get the mail and I had an adorable package in there with MY name on it. How exciting right! I opened it up and it was a beautiful necklace in the shape of Africa with Zoe’s name engraved on it. The necklace was from Jessica’s (sis in law) best friend Cathy! I LOVE it!

This was a day full of emotion! Our family felt SO loved by everyone! I am so glad to be on this journey and to have our friends and family right at our side!
Then as always for our DTE day we had great family fun and ICE CREAM!
